Central Coast Cooling, Inc. (CCC) was formed in 1984 and has been a leader in the independent produce cooling and shipping in California since its inception. Continuity of ownership, modern technology in equipment and plant; management teaching time tested and proven methods; and long term highly trained employees, give CCC a significant and distinct competitive advantage in quality and versatile services, and customer satisfaction.

CCC is a full service produce cooling and loading business with 3 separate facilities and local pickup and delivery in the Salinas area. CCC works six days a week (with Sunday appointments) in season and is located in S.E. Salinas. CCC has also shipped from the Brawley/El Centro area in 4 winter campaigns. CCC emphasizes customer service, quality cooling, careful produce handling, and consistently represents the best of the grower to consumer distribution support businesses.

CCC is a company completely focused on providing quality conscientious service to its customers by attention to detail, excellent record keeping using multiple computer systems, and rigorous quality control of produce cooling, loading and delivery. CCC management trains for and insists on correct methods for all work, food safety and sanitation, employee safety, and courtesy to the public. CCC is the only cooling facility on the central coast of California to have shift oversight on the docks to oversee all phases of produce loading and receiving. The CCC management team designs, defines and implements methods and training for meticulous product handling, processing and loading by CCC employees.

The CCC physical plant was built and updated over the last 18 years including CCC # 3 completed in 2009. The multiple locations, methods, and state of the art sanitation are strong bases to support the services CCC makes available to the produce community. An example of the most modern cutting edge food safe sanitization technology is CCC Chlorine Dioxide Gas water treatment for our Slush Ice, Hydro Cooling processes, and facility sanitation

CCC has 5 Vacuum cooling tubes, 126,000 square feet of cooler, 23 loading docks, 2 direct slush icing machines, 3 forced air fan cooling rooms, a continuous feed Hydro Cooler, 2 Tectrolä and 1 cold bag machines for atmospheric preservation of strawberries, 6 separate order/inventory networked computer systems, bar code inventory capabilities, three 12 pallet lifts, 8 delivery trucks (Semi, flatbed, and Refrigerated) from 10 to 30 pallets, and 65 forklifts.
