With over 30 years of industry experience, CCC is the largest commercial cooling operation on the West Coast. CCC employs state-of-the-art pre-cooling technology with the goal to implement and monitor rigorous quality control procedures and food safety standards to provide its customers with superior produce cooling solutions.
CCC operates four separate pre-cooling and cold storage facilities. Three of these coolers are located in Salinas Valley, CA on a 28-acre campus with 35 refrigerated loading bays, 17 pressure cooler tunnels, 9 vacuum tubes, 5 high volume ice injection stations, and an ice supply capacity of more than 2,000 tons per day. CCC also has a full-service cooler operation located in Imperial Valley, CA.

Founded in 1984, Central Coast Cooling, LLC (CCC) was located on the 28-acre campus at Growers Ice Company (GIC) in Salinas, California (although owned by a separate entity). They provided full-service cooling solutions to a large customer base in the agriculture industry.
In 2014, Growers Ice Company acquired CCC and they continued serving their customers as the single source provider for produce cooling and logistics needs.
Through a strategic tax-free reorganization on January 15, 2018, GIC transferred its ownership of Central Coast Cooling, LLC to Post Harvest Technologies, Inc. (PHT).
PHT, Inc., the parent company of CCC, operates as a management, investment and consulting company specializing in the Post-Harvest Agriculture Industry.

Jim White, PhD
PRESIDENT & CEO
Dr. Jim White is Chairman and CEO of Post Harvest Technologies, Inc. and Growers Ice Company, Inc., Founder and CEO of PHT Opportunity Fund LP, and Founder and President of JL White International, LLC.
He is the author of several acclaimed books—most recently, and Broken America: Ten Guidingn Principles to Restore America and Opportunity Investing: How to Revitalize Urban and Rural Communities with Opportunity Funds. He is also author of the best-seller What’s My Purpose? A Jouney of Personal and Professional Growth, which has been lauded by such industry leaders as Steven M.R. Covey and Jack Canfield. Dr. White holds a B.S. in civil engineering, an MBA, and a doctorate in psychology and organizational behavior.
Jim is also the founder of the customized yearlong, leadership and management transformation process, The Circle of Success; Jim White’s Classic Movie Series; and The Red Carpet Tour.
These innovative events have attracted more than 100,000 participants worldwide, including Fortune 500 CEOs, management teams, entrepreneurs, governments, and trade associations.
Dr. White achieved international recognition as CEO of Blount World Trade Corporation, owner and Managing Director of ACEC Centrifugal Pumps NV, Belgium, and as Vice President and Division Manager of Ingersoll Rand Equipment Corporation. Throughout his career, he has bought, expanded, and sold 23 companies, operating in 44 countries. Jim acquires struggling businesses to revive and develop them into profitable enterprises using his business turnaround strategy. To date, Jim has generated more than $1.8 billion in revenue.
Chris Jackson holds a bachelors degree in Business from Cornell University and a J.D. from Loyola Law School. As COO, Chris brings more than 20 years of legal expertise to the team and leads business operations.
He is responsible for deal flow management and driving the firm’s strategic initiatives and enhancing the operational effectiveness of PHT Opportunity Fund’s offerings. He has sophisticated knowledge in public and private M&A transactions, complex commercial contracts, and corporate and securities law matters. Chris has an extensive operations and financial services background, specializing in complex commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, supply and distribution contracts, real estate leases, and private placements.
DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
Scott Klein is a well regarded community activist and entrepreneur. Scott is a published author who hosts the popular “Get Down to Business” radio show in Chicago and serves as an Officer in the US Army Reserves.
He is the Chairman of the Village of Skokie Economic Development Commission. Scott is a doctoral candidate and holds a master’s degree in non profit management. He is an active leader for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). As Director of External Affairs, Scott brings his extensive community relations, communications and management experience to PHT Opportunity Fund’s portfolio to drive awareness and growth.
